FAQ

Got questions? We've got answers. :)

Q: What are the different grades of stylists at Sozo?

A: The grade of the stylist depends on experience and communication skills (our stylists speak different languages). All hair stylists at Sozo have more than 10 years experience. Our stylists specialise in different areas, for example some are very good for blonde color, and some are excellent for perm. Please ask when booking your stylist for best results.

Q: How much do you charge for balayage highlight, and how long does it take?

A: We charge as highlight price plus toner. Price will also depend on the length and colour of your hair. The process takes around 2 to 4 hours, and may take longer depending on the colour you choose. We also give a discount for the 2 nd bleach. Please remember to say “balayage” and not colour when making your appointment.

Q: I would like to do color and perm/straighten same at one day. Is this possible, and which one first?

A: Team Sozo does not recommend getting both color and perm/straighten done on the same day as the two treatments together can take a toll on your hair’s health. If you need to spread over two appointments, we can do. But probably not light color – tone down a bit or roots color. So, we recommend perm first, and then come back for color a few days later.

Q: Should I book digital perm or normal perm if is my first time getting a perm done?

A: This is something to discuss with your stylist when booking your perm appointment. We do recommend that if you want to get volume on top, please ask for a normal perm. This is because a digital perm is more suitable for the middle to ends of your hair.

Q: I have naturally curly hair, and I would like to make it smooth but not flat. What should I do?

A: It is depends on your hair – we have Brazilian blow out, Japanese super straightening and Sweeque straightening (natural straight). A stylist would first need to check your hair before making a recommendation.

Q: My hair is very damaged. What is the best treatment for this, and how often I need to get it done?

A: If your hair cuticles are opened and they require strengthening, we recommend you book for an Olaplex treatment. We would also recommend you purchase a hair care product and use once per week.

Q: Where are your eyelash extensions product from? Are they safe, and how long do the eyelash extensions last?

A: All our products are imported from Japan monthly. We use eyelash glue made special for eyelash. It lasts about 3 to 4 weeks.

Q: I do not want my eyelashes to look fake. Can I choose the style or thickness?

A: Yes, you can choose from different curl (J,C,CC), length (7 to 15mm) and thickness (0.1,0.15,0.2mm).

Q: Where will the synthetic lashes be extended?

A: Synthetic lashes are attached to your natural lashes approximately 1mm away the skin. The synthetic lashes are only extended from natural lashes.

Q: How long does each eyelash extension take?

A: Its takes around 60 to 90 minutes.

Q: Will eyelash extensions harm my natural lashes?

A: Our team uses proper products and techniques to ensure your natural lashes will stay healthy. We recommend using our certified Phenix eyelash support gel enhancer for best results.

Q: Can I swim, sauna and steam bath with my eyelash extensions?

A: This is the beauty of eyelash extension. Your eyes will always look the same even while swimming, enjoying sauna and steam bath. Try to avoid sun tan lotion around the eyelash extensions.

Q: Do I need to take special caution after eyelash extension?

A: Please try to avoid water around the eye area for three hours after the eyelash extension and use “oil free” cleanser for your removal of eye makeup.
